Build a Krooztune Supermini 65 — longer, taller and ready to go faster.

This build gives a growing rider more room on a KTM Group 65 ( includes Husqvarna and Gas Gas 65's) by changing the bike’s wheelbase, ride height and cockpit position, then matching the suspension to the rider and the new setup. The engine stays 65cc.

Build order: 1. Swingarm and fork lug extensions → 2. Seat and tank → 3. Handlebar risers and rider triangle → Suspension Setup - Rear shock and front fork setup to rider weight and component specs.

Krooztune KTM Group 65 extended swingarm

Step 1 — Extend the swingarm: longer and more stable

The extended swingarm increases the wheelbase, adding stability on faster tracks and helping the bike work through bumps. Its natural extended length and swingarm angle also raise the rear of the bike.

Match the longer rear with extended fork lugs at the front. The WP65 +25mm axle clamps raise the front end to help create a taller, longer, more balanced bike for a rider looking for more room on a 65.

Check the year options on both product pages and confirm the correct combination for your bike.

Step 2 — Raise the seat and tank

For KTM 65 models from 2024 onward, KTM has a genuine raised seat and tank option. The airbox and related parts need to be rearranged as part of the fitment—follow the KTM service manual for your model.

For older KTM Group 65 models through 2023, use the Krooztune Seat and Tank Lift Kit. Check the product listing for the exact model-year fitment and kit option.

Step 3 — Lift the bars and complete the rider triangle

This step is easy to miss. When the seat and tank are raised, the handlebars can end up low in comparison. The rider’s position is a triangle between the footpegs, seat and handlebars; those three contact points need to work together.

Our KTM Group 65 +20mm Handlebar Clamps raise the bars to help complete the cockpit position. Match the bars to the raised seat and the rider’s size, rather than lifting only one part of the triangle.

Steps 1–3 build the Supermini 65 to the rider’s size and establish the bike’s longer, taller geometry. Then set up the suspension to work with the rider and the finished chassis.

Upgrade the suspension

Rear shock

Upgrade the OEM WP shock with our 65cc shock bladder and piston kit. The valving specification has been updated and race-tested at the Australian Junior Nationals, with podium results. Select the correct year and kit option on the product page.
