Control Series MX – Showa 49mm Fork Setup Kit (OEM Midvalve Variant)
The Control Series MX kit upgrades your Showa 49mm forks with a smoother, more balanced feel while preserving the OEM midvalve architecture. Designed for junior riders, vet riders, and mid-level MX racers, this setup provides improved comfort, consistent damping, and a more predictable fork action without the harshness of stiff pro oriented settings.
Featuring our proven 49 Piston Kit, this package delivers a plush but supportive MX feel that boosts rider confidence on all track types.
Note - For fast aggressive B-level and A-level riders wanting maximum hold-up and a firmer, more aggressive damping balance, see our Pro Series 49mm Kit.
Kit Includes
- Pre-assembled 49 Piston Kit and post assemblies, shimmed and ready to bolt directly onto the OEM compression unit
- Revalved and reworked OEM midvalve and rebound settings for smoother, more controlled damping. shims included
- Multiple midvalve and compression settings included to build:
- Soft (Junior/Vet)
- Medium (B-level MX – default)
- Firm (quicker MX pace)
- Complete data/spec sheets for swapping between all included settings for both compression and rebound options
