The Krooztune Black Series Complete Suspension Setup Kit combines our latest fork and shock upgrades in one coordinated package, delivering improved comfort, support and control across both ends of your YZ65.

Updated fork internals improve spring guidance and bottoming control, while our shock piston assembly and high- and low-speed compression adjuster deliver a more compliant, tuneable rear end.

Choose our proven base setup or have your kit custom configured to suit your rider’s weight, riding discipline, ability and preferred suspension feel. Drawing on years of Krooztune testing and an extensive setting bank, we match the fork and shock settings to work together.

A better foundation for little racers

Smaller riders need suspension that moves freely, absorbs bumps and maintains support without requiring excessive force to use the travel.

The standard YZ65 suspension leaves room for improvement in spring guidance, bottoming control and damping balance. Heavy fork rebound can restrict recovery between bumps, while the rear shock can feel firm and unresponsive, with limited adjustment available trackside.

The Black Series kit addresses these limitations through upgraded hardware and coordinated damping settings, helping the bike feel more settled and predictable as your rider develops speed and confidence.

Improved spring guidance and alignment

Our updated design integrates the bottoming piston into the spring guide, keeping these components true and aligned as they work together.

This arrangement improves spring guidance and promotes smooth, consistent movement. It also simplifies cartridge assembly and servicing, making the components easier to align during a rebuild.

Improved hydraulic bottoming control

With less travel available than the YZ85, making effective use of the YZ65’s travel is especially important.

Our redesigned hydraulic bottoming system provides more controlled resistance towards the end of the stroke, helping reduce harsh bottoming on heavy landings and bigger impacts while preserving smooth action through smaller bumps.

New compression pistons and balanced rebound

Our new 17 mm face compression pistons work with the selected base compression and mid-valve settings to balance easy initial movement with stronger support deeper in the travel.

We also address the standard fork’s heavy rebound damping, helping it recover between bumps and maintain a more responsive feel through successive hits.

The result is a super-smooth fork that still holds up for little racers, with:

Black Series shock upgrade

Ready-to-install piston assembly

Our upgraded shock piston assembly comes built with the selected compression and rebound shim stacks, ready for fitting into the standard KYB shock.

The assembly includes a CNC-machined billet shaft nut, engineered for maximum thread engagement and secure installation.

Compression and rebound settings work together to improve bump absorption, control rear-end recovery and maintain support through rough, choppy conditions. For custom kits, the damping is matched to the rider and intended spring rate.

High- and low-speed compression adjustment

Our upgraded adjuster adds separate high- and low-speed compression adjustments to the YZ65 shock, giving you more scope to refine its behaviour trackside.

Tune support under acceleration and through rolling bumps, then refine the response to sharper impacts and heavy landings. Recommended starting adjustments are included with your setup specifications.

Easier spring preload adjustment

The CNC-machined alloy shock spring lockring in our Black Series finish makes preload adjustment easier, helping you set and maintain the correct rider sag.

Together, these upgrades deliver a more compliant and controlled rear end, with:

Our settings draw on extensive suspension dyno development and Australian track testing, from slippery hardpack to deep loam and sand.

For a custom setup, choose your riding discipline—motocross, off-road or supercross—then provide your rider’s weight, ability and preferred feel. We use these details to select and build coordinated fork and shock settings from our extensive data bank.

Your selected settings come installed in the supplied assemblies, with tuning instructions and shims included to make the compression softer or firmer if required.
