Our Yamaha 65 Shock upgrade kit is a complete upgrade kit ready to install into the mini KYB shock. We have found the OEM unit to be both restrictive harsh and limited in trackside adjustment.
The KROOZ Racing kit allows both High and Low compression adjustment matched to a complete ready to install piston assembly that is dyno tuned and track tested to deliver results.
As the photo’s show this piston assembly includes:
- Main Shock Piston
- KYB genuine piston band and o-ring installed
- Shim stacks
- Base plate carrier
- Integrated top nut and plate for maximum thread strength.
- Piston kit designed to utilize 12mm ID shims for ease of tuning
- 3 setting options to best cover all speed of rider is supplied. C, B, A/pro racers are covered with this kit.
Our main piston uses custom shim carriers matched to a CNC machined top nut/plate to integrate the much more accessible 12mm ID shock shims. This trick engineered top nut allows ‘full depth’ and more shaft thread being used, resulting in a super strong and accurate setup on the OEM shaft. (shock shaft not included)
The shocks new setup free’s up the hard ‘dead’ like oem action into a bike with more drive, more bump absorption and a stable rear end through rough, choppy conditions. Dyno and Track tested in slippery harsh conditions here in Australia. All terrain tested, hardpack slick to deep loam sand.
Shock Upgrade Kit includes:
- High and Low speed compression adjuster
- Main piston assembly and shim setting
- High volume gas bladder cap
- Fast adjust alloy lockring
- Specification including 3 levels of setup A/pro, B and C level racers. Rebound settings are also included to match the spring rates required.
