Yamaha’s 2026 YZ450F is an engineering statement — sharper chassis, huge stability potential, and a more aggressive pro-targeted suspension direction from the factory. It’s brilliant — but it’s set up for elite aggression, not Aussie race conditions, A level Aus guys,  privateers or moto dads.

It offers massive potential — but needs refinement to unlock confidence, comfort and drive for real riders on real Aus tracks.

Key 2026 Platform Changes

  • Revised frame rigidity for sharper turn response and braking stability
  • Updated swingarm + engine position influencing anti-squat and corner exit drive
  • New KYB fork internals — higher load stability from new piston design
  • Updated shock body & piston porting — strong holdup, but firmer initial feel

Our Development Goal

Krooztune has gone deep into chassis balance, valving, linkage influence and turn behaviour. Our focus is simple:

  • Retain Yamaha plushness — without losing support
  • Add front confidence and stability especially at lean angles
  • Deliver holdup without harshness
  • Improve turn-in and exit traction
  • Limit the rocking, pitching and dive in rough

Fork Development

Our fork mods calm the action without killing responsiveness — removing the stock “poppy” feel and adding trust on entry to fast sweepers and ruts.

Key Internal Upgrades:

  • Custom shim valving packages by rider level
  • Oil height & preload optimisation
  • ICS pressure spring tuning
  • KYB compression stack rework and adjustments to the leaf-style mid-valve shimming (major harshness delete)

Shock + Linkage Performance

We use Yamaha’s updated 2026 pistons and port design — but utilise its funstion stronger by pairing it to our complete Krooztune linkage and firmer spring rate.

  • Krooztune linkage = more linear action, smoother drive, no wall effect
  • Lets us run more holdup without going harsh
  • More drive, more predictability, more forgiveness under load

This is the biggest single change to the bike’s behaviour — and it’s outstanding.
