The Krooztune Black Series Shock Setup Kit transforms the standard KYB shock with an upgraded piston assembly, high- and low-speed compression adjustment and a damping setup matched to your rider.

Drawing on years of Krooztune testing and an extensive setting bank, the custom kit is configured to suit your rider weight, riding discipline, ability, spring rate and preferred suspension feel. Your selected setting comes installed in the piston assembly, ready for fitting into your shock.

A better foundation for performance

The standard YZ85 shock can feel restrictive and harsh through bumps, with limited compression adjustment available to refine its behaviour trackside.

Our kit addresses these limitations through a coordinated piston, compression and rebound setup, delivering improved bump absorption, more predictable support and a settled rear end through rough, choppy conditions.

High- and low-speed compression adjustment

The upgraded compression adjuster gives you separate high- and low-speed compression adjustments, providing more scope to fine-tune the shock for your rider and track conditions.

Refine support under acceleration and through rolling bumps, then adjust the response to sharper impacts and heavy landings.

Upgraded piston assembly and balanced rebound

The main piston assembly comes built with your selected shim setting, a genuine KYB piston band and O-ring installed.

Rebound damping is matched to the rider’s setup and spring rate to help control rear-end recovery, improve stability under braking and keep the bike composed through successive bumps.

The result is a rear end that absorbs bumps while maintaining the support and control little racers need to ride with confidence.

Our settings draw on extensive dyno development and Australian track testing, from slippery hardpack to deep loam and sand.

Choose your riding discipline—motocross, off-road or supercross—then provide your rider weight, ability, spring rate and preferred feel. We use these details to build a coordinated compression and rebound setup around your needs.

Your custom setting comes installed, with tuning specifications and shims supplied to make the compression softer or firmer if required.
