The Krooztune Black Series Fork Setup Kit takes our proven YZ65 fork upgrade further, combining improved spring guidance, a redesigned hydraulic bottoming system, new compression pistons and a custom damping setup built around your rider.

Drawing on years of Krooztune testing and an extensive setting bank, each kit is configured to suit your rider weight, riding discipline, ability and preferred suspension feel. From a developing junior chasing comfort and confidence to an experienced racer needing stronger support, your selected setting comes installed in the kit, ready for fitting into your forks.

A better foundation for performance

The standard KYB fork provides a solid starting point, but its basic spring guidance, limited bottoming control and heavy rebound damping leave room for improvement.

With less travel available than the YZ85, the YZ65 needs smooth, responsive action that allows lighter riders to use the travel effectively. Excessive rebound damping can prevent the fork from recovering quickly enough between bumps, contributing to a harsh, unsettled feel.

The Black Series kit addresses these mechanical limitations alongside the damping. We rework the heavy rebound and balance it with compression settings developed around our new piston design, delivering a super-smooth fork that still holds up for little racers.

Improved spring guidance and alignment

Our updated design integrates the bottoming piston into the spring guide, keeping these components true and aligned as they work together.

This arrangement improves spring guidance and promotes smooth, consistent movement. It also simplifies cartridge assembly and servicing, making the components easier to align during a rebuild.

Redesigned hydraulic bottoming system and main stack compression pistons

The improved hydraulic bottoming system delivers more controlled resistance towards the end of the stroke, helping reduce harsh bottoming on heavy landings and bigger impacts.

Our new compression piston design works with the rider’s custom damping setting to balance easy initial movement with support deeper in the travel. Combined with the reworked rebound, it helps the fork recover between bumps and maintain a comfortable, responsive feel—especially important for smaller, lighter riders.
