Before releasing the Krooztune AMFLOW Gravity 160 Linkage, we spent considerable time refining the design and validating it through real-world riding.
Early production units highlighted a small tolerance detail with the OEM mounting bolts. We discovered that the head diameters of the factory bolts vary slightly, and our initial design allowed very minimal clearance. After identifying this during early installs, we revised the machining tolerances to allow proper clearance across all OEM hardware.

With this update complete, we continued extensive real-world testing across several local trail networks to ensure the linkage performed exactly as intended on the trail.
Our test locations included some of the best and most varied riding around Melbourne:
- Silvan MTB Park – fast, rough gravity lines with loose rock and braking bumps
- Lysterfield Park – flowing trails with hardpack corners and technical rock gardens
- Red Hill MTB Park – steeper terrain with roots, drops and natural trail features
These parks offer a perfect mix of flow, rough descending and technical terrain, allowing us to evaluate how the linkage performs in real riding situations.
Designed for Real Descending
The Krooztune AMFLOW Gravity Linkage increases usable rear suspension travel to approximately 160mm while refining the bike’s leverage curve.
But numbers alone don’t tell the full story. The real improvement is how the bike feels on trail. From the first ride, the change in suspension character was obvious.
The rear suspension becomes noticeably smoother in the initial part of the stroke, allowing the bike to absorb small bumps and trail chatter much more effectively.
Instead of feeling nervous or skittish over rough terrain, the bike feels planted and calm.
Trail Feel: What Riders Notice Immediately
Butter-Smooth Initial Stroke
The first thing riders notice is the small bump sensitivity.
Loose rocks, braking bumps and trail chatter disappear beneath the rear wheel.
This creates a much more comfortable and controlled ride when descending rough trails like those found at Silvan and Red Hill.

More Planted, Less “Kicky”
One of the biggest improvements we noticed during testing was how the rear suspension behaves when riding aggressively.
The bike feels less kicky through the mid-stroke, especially when pushing through rough terrain or landing into choppy sections.
Instead of the rear wheel bouncing or deflecting, it stays driving forward and tracking the ground.
This creates a much more stable and confidence inspiring ride, particularly when speed increases. We could then adjust the air pressure confidently in the shock and still retain a nice feeling.
Better Control on Steep Drops
Steep roll-ins and drops were another area where the linkage really stood out. With the stock linkage, the rear suspension can feel slightly abrupt when initiating steep descents.
With the Krooztune Gravity Link installed, the bike transitions into steep sections much more smoothly. The rear suspension settles into its travel earlier, helping the bike feel balanced and composed when committing to steep features.
This was especially noticeable on some of the rock features and steeper roll-ins at Silvan and Red Hill.
Terrain Testing
Testing across three very different trail systems allowed us to confirm the linkage works across a wide range of riding styles.
Silvan MTB Park
Fast gravity trails with loose surfaces and harsh rough braking bumps.
Here the linkage shines by keeping the rear wheel glued to the ground while maintaining composure at speed.
Lysterfield Park
Hardpack flow trails mixed with rock gardens.
The improved mid-stroke support helps maintain momentum through corners and compressions on this man made trail.
Red Hill MTB Park
Steeper natural terrain with roots, rocks and drops.
The smoother initial stroke and improved progression help absorb impacts and maintain control when trails get rough.
Why We Built This Linkage
The goal of the Krooztune AMFLOW Gravity Linkage was simple:
Improve the descending capability of the bike without compromising its balance or ride feel.
The result is a suspension platform that:
- Tracks the ground better
- Feels smoother through rough terrain
- Handles steep terrain with more confidence
- Delivers more usable travel
All while maintaining the bike’s original geometry and pedalling characteristics.
Built and Tested in Australia
Every Krooztune linkage is designed, machined and tested in Australia.
We don’t rely purely on theoretical numbers or lab simulations.
Our products are developed through real riding and real testing on demanding terrain.
Because ultimately, the only thing that matters is how the bike feels on trail.
After months of riding across Silvan, Lysterfield and Red Hill, and more recently testing further afield at Creswick, Warburton, and the alpine terrain of Mount Buller and Lake Mountain here in Victoria, Australia, we’re confident this linkage delivers exactly what gravity riders are looking for.
From flowing trail networks to rough natural descents and bike park terrain, the Krooztune AMFLOW Gravity Linkage has now been tested across it all.
