This week, we returned to Gippsland, Victoria, to put our latest suspension development through its paces on the 2025 Beta 300 RR. We’ve previously tested this model in its stock trim (check out our earlier blog for that rundown), but this time, we came loaded with the all-new Krooztune Suspension Kit—purpose-built for the OEM Sachs ZF forks and shock. Dave’s been busy in engineering and knocked this one out of the park!  We got to work these last few weeks matching this premium designed kit to a trail tested setting!

What’s in the Kit?

After months of R&D and a solid block of dyno and trail testing, we’ve developed a complete upgrade package featuring:

Nitrogen gas bladder conversion for the shock

Krooztune custom-designed shock piston kit

Complete fork setup kit for Sachs ZF forks

This bolt-in solution was designed around a medium-level setting—aimed at riders tackling typical Aussie trails at a decent pace who want more holdup, control, and balance without harshness.

Trail Conditions

The test loop was ideal for real-world feedback—wet, loamy, rutted, and rough. Square-edge hits, slick roots, steep climbs, and fast downhills gave us the variety we needed to properly evaluate the setup.

Fork Testing

We ran through a wide range of fork adjustments—low-speed compression, and rebound—but in the end, we landed right back at base settings. That told us the valving was on the money.

The fork transformation was clear: excellent holdup, no diving on steep down hills, and controlled action through choppy terrain. We left the standard spring rate and simply installed our kit. This is exactly how we designed it—a plug-and-play solution for medium-paced trail riders chasing more support, balance, and front-end confidence.

Rear Shock Setup

**Nitrogen can in raw material in pic  (not anodised yet - test unit only)

The rear shock was thoroughly tested on the dyno and revalved many times before we even hit the trail. We then increased the spring rate by one rate and, after a few test loops, softened the rebound by a couple of clicks. This brought the back end to life—more active, more responsive, and a world away from the stock oem dead sucky over-damped feel.

The end result? A much more balanced and predictable ride, with a planted feel on uphills, improved drive, and no tendency to squat or pack under load.  We were simply loving it on the trails.

This test dialed in our medium setting, which hit the mark straight away. It’s now ready for customers as our recommended all-round setup. If you’re chasing more plushness or comfort, we’ve also developed a softer setting designed for more forgiveness on rocky or technical terrain—that’s just a simple shim change, and we’ll be out testing it next week.

What’s Next?

I think before anything else , a set of ODI grips or similar to get a better feeling than the fat beta oem ones.  Just personal preference , maybe a set of bars too.  Overall Super Stoked to be on Beta at this moment !! Soft setting option test this week , we cant wait.
