Refined Performance Across All XACT Generations
Our early XACT shock kits delivered excellent rebound control and introduced a nitrogen bladder conversion, transforming these already capable shocks into a more consistent and tunable setup. With simple adjustments, riders could move from a softer, more compliant feel to a firmer, more supportive setting with ease — covering a wide range of conditions and riding styles from soft to firm setups.
As WP evolved the XACT platform, we tested these shocks across both motocross and offroad applications. While settings varied significantly between models — with different linkages, spring rates, and intended use — once we broke it all down, the core behaviour remained the same.
The newer XACT shocks came through with a more aggressive character — loose on rebound, firm on compression, and prone to a spiky, unpredictable feel, especially when new. They improve slightly over time, but still lack the balance and control riders are chasing when hitting big bumps hard.
Our updated setup brings that balance back.
By refining the damping and improving oil flow — along with the option of a nitrogen bladder conversion — we smooth out the harshness and create a more controlled, planted feel. Similar to the older XACT character, but with a wider, more usable tuning range.
These shocks are easy to get wrong and can spike quickly without the right setup. That’s where our high-speed compression mods and valving come in.
The result is a rear end that:
- Sits in and drives forward with traction
- Reduces kick on deceleration
- Maintains support without harshness under load and avoiding shock wallow
Our XACT shock kits are available as piston and shim configurations, or as complete packages including nitrogen bladder conversion — allowing you to choose the level of upgrade that suits your build.
It’s a significant step forward in control, comfort, and consistency — turning an aggressive, unpredictable shock into one that works with you, not against you.
